Who We Are
The owners of kayak
east, John Pagani and Susie Wiley, met teaching kayaking in 1999
and have been paddling together since!
A native of New Jersey, John
has explored the forested and rural areas of the mid-Atlantic region
hiking and mountain biking and traveled the waterways fishing, canoeing
and kayaking.
Originally from southwestern
Colorado, Susie has been a river guide and has taught whitewater
kayaking and skiing. During the winter months, Susie is on the ski
patrol at Mt. Creek, NJ.
John
and Susie are both certified by the American Canoe Association in
Coastal Kayaking/Open Water and by the American Red Cross in CPR and
First Aid. Susie is certified by the National Ski Patrol in Outdoor
Emergency Care.
We formed kayak east
because we love the outdoors and want to share it with others! Together,
with over 18 years of combined teaching experience, we hope to introduce you to
the joy of paddling!
